Advanced Imaging and Clinical Applications Engineer

1/2011 - 1/2013

• Managed a team of 8 engineers in implementing the process of resolving global installed base customer complaints for the X-ray product portfolio from imaging stand point. This resulted in 10 fold shorter response time to the customer complaints as well as higher technical accuracy as recommended by FDA
• Lead global cross functional team on new product introduction ( NPI ) to include next generation of advanced clinical applications ( tomosynthesis, image pasting etc.) for X-Ray products
• Developed a tracking method for recording the issues as well the core problem behind each issue with the scope of disseminating this information in New Products Developments.
• Processed and analyzed the data for a multi –million multi-site FDA approved clinical study for diagnosing lung cancer nodules using various imaging modalities. This resulted in identifying clinical diagnostic accuracy of imaging techniques such as tomosyntheis, CT, regular XRay and Dual Energy XRay.
• Held key role in forging collaborations among cross-functional technology teams, resulting in laying down product road maps aligned with FDA regulations and market requirements.
• Investigated at the customer level to identify the VOCs (Voice of Customer) needed to constrain the design of next generation tomosysnthesis. Used industry standards such as QFD (Quality Functional Deployment) to transform VOC into high quality design for future products.
• Implemented a ranking method based on the occurrence rate of the field issues to identify the sub-systems needed to be improved in current and future products.
• Led over 24 investigations of customer complaints which were resolved successfully and recorded in the internal FDA auditing capable system

Senior Bio-imaging Engineer

03/2009 - 12/2010

2010 - present

2010 - present

• Managed a team of 7 comprised of engineers, research scientists, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students
• Gave performance reviews and recommendation for career improvement at the end of the year.
• Developed multi–modality imaging techniques using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Imaging (EPRI) for imaging of small animals or in vivo.  This resulted in a first global prototype capable of imaging a biological system using the same hardware system.
• Assisted the Principal Investigator in writing grant proposals resulting in funds from National Institute of Health

Nanounity Inc

Senior Applications Engineer

03/2008 - 03/2009

• Responsible for designing and driving marketing campaign for the scanning probe microscopes at semiconductor  domain trade shows, conferences and both in-site and off-site.
• Supported strategic technological collaboration between companies with the scope of developing new products with potentially larger market impact
• Identified potential customers and offered technological solutions to their application needs
• Drove technical collaborations with customers to align the technology to their specifications and applications
• Key role in planning and deploying technical resources in establishing the North American division of the company
• Executed technology projects for developing first in the world long range AFM stage (XY larger than 1 mm2)

Park Systems Inc.

Applications Engineer

01/2007 - 03/2008

• Held key role in driving technical collaborations with semiconductor industry customers which resulted in higher sales; Organized and designed technical marketing campaigns at conferences and trade shows to introduce new features and products for the company’s product line product resulting in higher numbers of sales leads
• Performed advanced analysis per customer’s sample and request using advanced SPM imaging modes resulting high customer education on company’s’ core products.
• Developed a prototype code in MATLAB for an innovative scanning mode which was incorporated in the core software of company’s product line.
